In one significant Asian deal development, Sembcorp reached financial close in August on the 414MW Sirajganj-4 IPP project that was financed by Clifford Capital, together with other prominent multi-laterals and development financial institutions. The deal has the longest tenor achieved for a project financing in the power sector in Bangladesh to date and delivers a number of firsts including being the first PPP power concession won by a foreign investor, reported by TXF's Max Thompson.
